The City of London’s Housing Service manages 12 estates, totalling 5500 homes. Three of these estates are in the Square Mile (including the iconic Barbican Estate) and a further 9 estates are in neighbouring London boroughs.

The Major Works Team (HRA) is primarily responsible for the delivery of an ambitious capital programme of planned maintenance, improvements, and refurbishment to the Corporation’s social housing stock over the next 10 years. Works will include roof and window replacement, communal decorations, mechanical and electrical upgrades, fire safety, internal decent homes, and potentially some decarbonisation elements.
We are looking for a self-motivated and driven Project Manager, with an eye for detail and a real desire to achieve and deliver in challenging circumstances.
The successful candidate will have experience of project and contract management, together with sound construction knowledge and ideally an understanding of working client-side. You will also have strong communication skills and experience in dealing with a range of customers and stakeholders.
Aside from your strong professional skills, being customer focused and having the right attitude, drive and enthusiasm are also key ingredients for this role.
