Title: Teaching Assistant Apprentice

Salary: £22,745 (Term time only £25,780 FTE) pa

Freemen’s is an independent co-educational day and boarding school for 920 pupils aged 7 – 18. The Junior School (ages 7 – 13) has 400 pupils on roll; the Senior School (ages 13-18) has 520 pupils on roll, approximately 300 of whom are in the Senior School. About fifty-five pupils are boarders, most of whom are international students. The majority of boarders are in the Sixth Form. The School’s aims are to ensure that our pupils Learn, Lead and Make a Difference.  The emphasis in the Junior School is on Kindness, Honesty and Fun and the Senior School picks up that message with a pastoral programme that emphasises the importance of a strong, supportive community in which every member, staff and student, feels respected, supported and valued. As a result, we are able to support our young people to meet successfully the tests of life they face every day.

Because our roles are so varied, we don’t have a ‘one size fits all’ policy for workplace attendance. How many days a week you’ll be required to attend your workplace will depend on the requirements of your role. It’s important that you understand the requirements before applying to ensure you are able to meet them. We are committed to considering requests to work flexibly and job share. Requests will be considered by the recruiting manager in line with our policies and business needs.

For more information on our categories for workplace attendance, please view our guide here.

We will be reviewing this policy and approach at regular intervals to ensure we’re meeting our attendance needs.
