The City of London Environment Department protects, funds and manages over 10,700 acres of historic and natural open space primarily for public recreation and health for the City of London Corporation which includes the ownership and management of the City of London Cemetery & Crematorium in Manor Park E12.  As a Green Flag and Green Heritage site we pride ourselves in maintaining this 200-acre site to an exceptionally high standard.  

We currently have vacancies for Grounds Maintenance Operatives at the City of London Cemetery & Crematorium, working 35 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 8.00am to 4.00pm.   

The successful candidate will be required to work as part of the cemetery team to maintain the 200-acre grounds to a high standard for the benefit of bereaved families and do so in a respectful and dignified manner.  

The ideal candidates will have experience of grounds maintenance work and the use of both hand and powered tools, along with the ability to work in all weather conditions.
