Salary: £47,620 - £53,310 per annum inclusive of all allowances
Contractual Hours: 35 hours per week

The City of London Corporation is looking for a dynamic and driven Clean City Awards & Recycling Manager to lead the charge in transforming how we reduce, reuse, and recycle across the Square Mile. 

 

About the Role 

 

This is your chance to lead a high-performing team dedicated to promoting best-in-class waste management practices for both residents and businesses. You’ll be at the forefront of delivering the Clean City Awards Scheme, inspiring organisations to go above and beyond in environmental excellence. 

 

From shaping strategic recycling initiatives to organising our prestigious awards events at Mansion House, this role blends strategic vision with hands-on leadership. You’ll also play a key role in driving the City’s Circular Economy ambitions—helping to build a cleaner, greener, and more sustainable future. 

 

What You’ll Be Doing 

  • Leading and expanding the Clean City Awards Scheme, engaging businesses of all sizes. 

  • Designing and delivering innovative recycling and reuse programmes for residents. 

  • Managing the team of Recycling Support Officers to deliver both operational and strategical objectives.  

  • Organising high-profile events and best practice forums. 

  • Monitoring performance, analysing data, and ensuring compliance with national targets. 

  • Staying ahead of the curve on legislation, funding opportunities, and industry trends.
