Do you have a talent for organisation, enjoy coordinating events, and want to contribute to the City of London’s international engagement? We’re looking for a Trade & Investment Coordinator to join our Trade & Investment team within the Innovation & Growth Directorate.
This role sits at the heart of the City’s global trade and investment work — helping to promote the UK’s financial and professional services sector and strengthen relationships with international markets. You’ll play a vital part in ensuring the smooth delivery of our programmes, coordinating team activity, and supporting the delivery of high-profile visits, events and trade missions that showcase the City of London around the world.
In this role, you will:
- Support the planning and coordination of the team’s work programme, ensuring activities are delivered efficiently and effectively.
- Provide administrative and logistical support, including diary management, meeting coordination, and the preparation of agendas, papers and minutes.
- Support on the coordination and delivery of events, visits and delegations, including managing logistics, liaising with venues and suppliers, and ensuring smooth delivery.
- Support the team’s financial processes by raising purchase orders, managing invoices, and monitoring budgets.
- Maintain and improve systems for tracking performance metrics, budgets and project outcomes.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to support the development of UK partner and international market plans.
- Liaise confidently with internal and external stakeholders, building positive working relationships to support the team’s objectives.
We’re looking for candidates who are:
- Highly organised, proactive, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communicators with excellent stakeholder management skills.
- Detail-oriented with experience in administrative coordination and event delivery.
- Comfortable working independently and as part of a team.
- Experienced in managing budgets, tracking expenses and supporting project delivery.
