About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and forward-thinking Senior Policy & Innovation Advisor – Sustainable Finance to join the Innovation & Growth team at the City of London Corporation. In this pivotal role, you will support efforts to position London as a world-leading hub for sustainable and impact investing.
You will work directly with the Head of Sustainable Finance to shape impactful strategies, engage with policymakers, influence regulatory developments, and promote the UK’s sustainable finance and impact investing landscape. This role offers a unique platform to contribute to national financial policy while driving positive social and environmental outcomes.
- Develop and deliver strategies to scale the UK’s impact investing market.
- Lead policy engagement with government and financial sector stakeholders.
- Provide expert advice and briefings to senior figures including the Lord Mayor and Policy Chairman.
- Monitor emerging trends, build partnerships, and represent the City Corporation at key sector events.
- Collaborate across teams to advance the wider sustainable finance agenda, including adaptation and transition finance.
You will be an accomplished policy professional with a strong interest in sustainable finance and impact investing. You will bring:
- A degree or equivalent professional experience.
- Proven experience in financial or public sector policy environments.
- In-depth understanding of sustainable finance challenges and opportunities in the UK.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement, and project management skills.
- The ability to work independently and manage competing priorities in a dynamic setting.
