SENIOR ATTENDANT

Workplace based – completely workplace based, with no option to work from home. 

 

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and highly organised customer service focused professional with excellent communication skills to join our team at Guildhall, the historic home of the City of London Corporation in the Square Mile.    

 

The successful candidate will provide the front of house, initial contact service for City of London elected members, Senior Officers and guests; from initial enquiries to booking confirmation through to ensuring set up of meeting spaces and responding to unforeseen matters. 

 

You will be part of a team responsible for the provision of an effective and efficient service for City of London elected Aldermen, Members and Senior Officers in relation to protocol, ceremonial and procedural aspects of City events. 

 

The ideal candidate will have experience of working in a highly specialised customer service environment and have an understanding of the City of London Corporation and its structure, as well as its ceremonial functions 

 

Working hours will mainly be weekdays 9am – 5pm but flexibility will be essential, including evening and occasional weekend work for which overtime will be payable.  This role is based on site at Guildhall, London EC2V. 

The post suits a person who is dedicated, reliable and conscientious, thrives with a busy and varied workload, and is a great team player.  Previous customer service experience, ideally within a corporate setting, is a must, along with a high level of written and oral communication skills.   

 

Main Responsibilities: 

  • Front of House customer service 
  • Managing the administration of room booking system 
  • Managing relationships with a range of stakeholders 
  • Supporting the delivery of ceremonial events within the City of London 

 

Experience Required: 

  • Working in a highly specialised customer service environment 
  • Dealing with online and in person, enquiries, providing advice and detailed information  
  • Prioritising a demanding and diverse workload
