About us
We are looking to build upon the digital and technical capabilities of our unique Digital, Information and Technology shared service, to deliver technical expertise and innovation across the City of London Corporation, City of London Police and London Councils. We aim to take advantage of the latest technology - it’s how we’ll future-proof our services and make them more efficient and impactful than ever, helping many more of our residents, businesses and visitors in turn.
The role
As part of our ongoing technology investment, we are looking to recruit Project Manager to work with our Head of Project Delivery to define and deliver a varied portfolio of digital and technology projects, including software and infrastructure.
You will need to develop strong relationships with contacts within the Digital, Information and Technology Service, as well as key external stakeholders, and be accountable for successfully managing the delivery of projects and work streams, including realisation of defined benefits.
Projects could include the Public Switched Telephone Network, which is in response to telecoms companies switching off old landlines and moving to digital solutions. This is a critical project for the City of London, as it impacts not only our workplaces, but also our residents. We are also working on upgrading our laptops to Windows 11, and many other digital and technology projects.
About you
This is an exciting opportunity for someone with some project delivery experience that is looking to step up into a bigger environment, and gain experience in managing technology-based projects of different scales and complexity.
Above all, this role is about having a can-do attitude, solving complex problems and driving project teams to deliver on time, on budget and against agreed quality criteria. You gain experience of working on challenging, wide-ranging technology projects in a complex environment.
Aside from your experience and skills, we’re looking for self-motivated, dynamic professionals who can lead our projects and lead our project teams to deliver for our most important stakeholders.
This role is being offered on a 9 months fixed term contract.
Closing date: 12 noon on Monday 11th August 2025
Provisional Interviews will be held on 19th August 2025
