Workplace Attendance Category for this role is:
Hybrid – you’ll be expected to be in the office at least 3 days per week or 60% of your working time in the office.
The City of London’s Housing Service manages 12 estates, totalling 5500 homes. Three of these estates are in the Square Mile (including the iconic Barbican Estate) and a further 9 estates are in neighbouring London boroughs.
Our tenants and leaseholders are at the heart of everything we do, supporting us as we strive to effectively manage, maintain, and improve the property that is their home.
We have recently commenced an ambitious program of planned maintenance, improvements, and refurbishment. In addition, we are committed to developing 700 new homes across our estates and overseeing major works over the next 10 years. We are looking for a self-motivated, dynamic, and experienced Project Manager/Contracts Manager to work as part of a small team with responsibility for delivering projects relating to our improvements and housing delivery programme.
The successful candidate will have Project Management and Contract Management skills together with good knowledge and demonstrable experience of managing new development projects from inception to completion. You will also have excellent communication skills and experience in dealing with a range of customers and stakeholders.
Aside from your professional skills, being customer focused and having the right attitude, drive and enthusiasm are also key ingredients for these roles. This post is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act and as part of the selection process the successful applicant will be required to obtain a standard Disclosure & Barring Service check.
