Salary: £37,223 - £41,566 per annum inclusive of all allowances (Outer London Weighting, 4.81% unsocial hours payment and 5.18% contractual hours payment)

Contractual Hours: 36.8125 hours per week

Basis: Full-Time, Fixed Term

As a Port Health Technical Officer - Graduate Trainee within the Port Health service you’ll have the opportunity to gain a remarkable amount of experience while providing a wide range of regulatory services for the City of London. The programme covers Animal Health to Food safety to Housing and everything in between. You will be supported, mentored and guided to complete your professional portfolio for the CIEH. The type of work you will undertake will include responding to complaints, risk-based inspection of premises, preparing formal notices and documents (including legal evidence where necessary) and report writing.  

 

You will be based within Port Health – which cover Ports within Essex and Kent, the main office is located at London Gateway Logistics Centre, Stanford Le Hope Essex. You will have the ability to work in variety of departments to assist your learning, training needs and personal development to complete your professional portfolio. 

 

You will hold a driving licence and have a vehicle insured for business use.
