The Drama department is seeking an experienced Movement Tutor to be responsible for delivering movement practice that extends the potential of the actor’s body and explores how mobility, strength, flexibility and co-ordination inform theatrical practices and storytelling on the BA Acting Programme.

 

You will play an integral role in the learning experience offered to students within the department, ensuring that the teaching allows students to meet the learning aims and objectives of the relevant modules. Furthermore, you will assist the Head of Movement in developing the pedagogic effectiveness of the curriculum and assessment to ensure that students receive the highest possible levels of teaching, guidance, and support. You will ensure their work is technically well-grounded, relevant, inspiring, progressive and in context of the rapidly evolving arts industry and wider world. In addition to this, you must demonstrate a proven commitment to inclusive practice with your teaching and be able to work with confidence across a diverse cohort and a broad and diverse range of repertoire and performance practice.
