Title: Marketing Apprentice

Salary: £25,780 pa

This is an exciting time for the External Relations department and our marketing team are busier than ever. They play a pivotal role in showcasing Freemen’s life to our current and future families and across the local and wider communities. The hard work is paying off as we begin to see record numbers of pupil admissions, as well as significantly increased engagement and community support.

There is still more to be done, however. This role will play a crucial part in helping us to meet our marketing team objectives as well as the School's wider strategic plan. Most days bring new opportunities and some challenges, which we face together, usually with a smile, a joke and whenever possible with cake.

The successful candidate would need to be comfortable in a team atmosphere. While we all have our distinct areas of responsibility, we are not afraid to lend a hand as and when other members of the team require it, with everyone collaborating to ensure the success and growth of the wider External Relations function. However, any new member of the team can expect support at every level.

This apprenticeship role is based at City of London Freemen’s School and will last for 21 months (including time to complete your End Point Assessment).

If you are enthusiastic and committed to achieving your Level 3 Marketing qualification and are eligible to apply, we would love to hear from you.

To qualify for this apprenticeship, you will need to be:

•             16 or over by the end of the summer holidays

•             Living in England

•             Not in full-time education at the time of applying

If you are a non-UK citizen – you need to have permission from the UK government to live in

the UK (not for educational purposes) and have been ordinarily resident in the UK for at least the previous three years before the start of the apprenticeship.

Selected apprenticeships require evidence of English and Maths GCSE Grade C/5 or equivalent.

If we request specific qualification evidence it will be required before applications are considered, please send copies of your certificates and application reference number to CoLHR.Apprenticeships@cityoflondon.gov.uk

Prior learning: If you have prior learning e.g., a similar or higher level of qualification like the apprenticeship we will be unable to consider your application as your prior learning will not meet the funding rule criteria. If you have prior experience in a similar role to the apprenticeship your experience may also exclude you from an apprenticeship.

If you have any questions on this, please contact CoLHR.Apprenticeships@cityoflondon.gov.uk

Because our roles are so varied, we don’t have a ‘one size fits all’ policy for workplace attendance. How many days a week you’ll be required to attend your workplace will depend on the requirements of your role. It’s important that you understand the requirements before applying to ensure you are able to meet them. We are committed to considering requests to work flexibly and job share. Requests will be considered by the recruiting manager in line with our policies and business needs.

For more information on our categories for workplace attendance, please view our guide here.

We will be reviewing this policy and approach at regular intervals to ensure we’re meeting our attendance needs.
