Salary: £25,780 pa

As a PMO Apprentice, you will be at the heart of our operations, supporting a central point of contact for all ongoing initiatives and assisting in the management of our IT Division Portfolio. You will get hands on experience of projects such as a new future network rollout, the building of a state-of-the-art Police headquarters and the use of AI tools such as Co-Pilot across our everyday working lives.  

  

The Role: As a PMO Apprentice, you will:  

 

  • Assist in organising meetings and ensuring timely submission of documents.  

  • Review documents related to processes, budgets, dependencies, and pipeline.  

  • Take minutes, chase actions, and provide updates.  

  • Learn and shadow PMO processes, systems, and methodologies.  

  • Contribute to business change and analysis under the guidance of the PMO.  

  • Hands on experience of project management  

  • Maintaining and improving our PMO management software and dashboards.   

  • Undertake a qualification in Six Sigma process improvement.

This apprenticeship role is based at Guildhall and will last for 20 months (including time to complete your End Point Assessment).

To qualify for this apprenticeship, you will need to be: 

  

•             16 or over by the end of the summer holidays 

•             Living in England 

•             Not in full-time education at the time of applying 

              

If you are a non-UK citizen – you need to have permission from the UK government to live  

in the UK (not for educational purposes) and have been ordinarily resident in the UK for at  

least the previous three years before the start of the apprenticeship. 

 

Selected apprenticeships require evidence of English and Maths GCSE Grade C/4 or equivalent.
