We’re looking for a visionary leader to take on the role of Head of Resident Services, helping to shape the future of services for thousands of residents while managing key estate operations, budgets, and commercial interests.
About the Role
As the Head of Resident Services, you’ll lead the strategic and day-to-day delivery of residential and commercial services on the Barbican Estate. From managing leaseholder services and enhancing community engagement to ensuring financial oversight of multimillion-pound budgets, you’ll be central to what makes the Barbican a great place to live.
You'll work closely with residents, elected members, senior stakeholders, and cross-departmental teams—leading not just services, but a shared vision for an inclusive, safe, and high-performing estate.
About You
You’re not just experienced—you’re passionate about delivering excellent services that make a real difference to people’s lives. You bring:

Proven leadership in residential property or estate management

Experience working with resident groups, committees, or elected representatives

A strategic mindset with an eye for financial stewardship (budget management around £10M)

A commitment to health & safety, fire safety, and compliance best practices

Strong people skills—you know how to inspire teams, build relationships, and solve problems collaboratively

A drive to continuously improve services through innovation and community engagement
