The role
We are looking for a professional and enthusiastic security officer to join a committed and dedicated team at the City of London Corporation, Guildhall.
You will be part of a 24/7 security operation, providing a safe and secure environment for visitors, guests, staff and contractors. You will demonstrate a high level of motivation and enthusiasm, providing the very best environment for all of those that use our facilities. You will also deliver a high level of customer care, security awareness, and provide support to our visitor services frontline team.
As a member of the security team, you will be required to greet guests, visitors and staff and undertake bag searches. The role will require you to carry out regular patrols in and around the Guildhall, as well as operating a CCTV system and working in a command-and-control room. You may be a first point of contact for medical incidents and will support the emergency services in the event of incidents and occurrences which require their response.

You must demonstrate high standards, be well presented and have excellent customer service and communication skills. You should possess a flexible approach to working and be aware that short notice changes of duties will be required. You will have a clear understanding of equality, diversity and inclusion.
You will be someone who thrives in a dynamic environment and is committed to delivering a top-notch service. We are looking for someone who can work both as part of a team and on their own. You will have a current SIA licence. You must be able to think, act and respond quickly and decisively in emergencies or when under pressure. You will be able to use your own initiative to identify better ways of working and to ensure you and the team deliver excellent customer service.
