An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and highly organised events professional with excellent communication and planning skills to join our high performing events team at Guildhall, the historic home of the City of London Corporation in the Square Mile.     

  

The events team organises an exciting range of high-profile events each year from multi-day conferences and meetings to receptions, gala dinners and large-scale banquets. Clients include international companies and charities as well as major public bodies and City based financial networks.   

  

The main duties of this post holder will be managing commercial events within the Guildhall complex as well as planning and organising a number of City Corporation hosted events, including civic ceremonies and dinners.  

  

The post suits an ambitious person who is dedicated, reliable and conscientious, thrives with a busy and varied workload, and is a great team player.  The successful candidate should be strongly motivated to achieve targets and deliver a high level of customer service. Previous events experience of medium to large scale events, ideally within a corporate setting, is a must, along with a high level of written and oral communication skills.    

  

Main Responsibilities:  

  • Venue and event management  

  • Ensuring event objectives and timescales are met   

  • Promoting the Guildhall as an events venue  

  • Managing client relationships  

  • Supporting the planning of the Guildhall events diary   

  

Experience Required:  

  • Organising corporate/commercial events in a professional environment  

  • Strong experience of dealing with venue queries, creating quotes, providing advice and detailed information regarding venue options, amenities, and suitability for events  

  • Prioritising a demanding and diverse workload
