About us
We are looking to expand the digital and technical capabilities of our unique Digital, Information and Technology Shared Service, to deliver technical expertise and innovation in data across the City of London Corporation, City of London Police and London Councils. We are keen to develop the data maturity of our organisation and take advantage of the depth and breadth of data available to us - it’s how we’ll future-proof our services and make them more efficient and impactful than ever, helping many more of our residents, businesses and visitors in turn. Join us in supporting the governing body and Police force of the Square Mile, dedicated to a vibrant and thriving City and promoting a diverse and sustainable London within a globally successful UK.
The roles
We’re creating new data roles to support the delivery of our Digital, Data and Technology Strategy, to help us drive greater value from our data and supporting our services to do more with less.
You’ll be at the heart of realising our new DDAT Strategy, acting as a subject matter expert for Microsoft PowerBI and Microsoft Fabric as we developer our new data and analytics platform across the City of London Corporation and City of London Police. You will play a key role in expanding our data pipelines and bringing data from both internal and external sources into our Corporate Data Platform – developing the City of London Corporation as a data-driven organisation and automating where possible.
Alongside day-to-day support and guidance, the role offers exciting project work and the chance to bring data innovation to our high-profile services, while developing your own knowledge and abilities.
About you
You’ll have experience of working with data in a complex organisation and will know how to drive improvements in data quality and gaining real insight from data. You will be an expert in the use of PowerBI including the use of data gateways and connecting new data sources. You should also have an understanding of good data architecture, and how to ensure that our data is good quality and well maintained. You will also need experience of working on challenging, wide-ranging data projects in a complex environment and working closely with stakeholders.
You’ll need a degree or equivalent experience in an IT-related subject along with relevant accreditations and training. Aside from your experience and skills, we’re looking for self-motivated, dynamic professionals who can communicate well with our stakeholders.
Closing date: 12 Noon on 18th August 2025
Interviews will be held week commencing 26th August 2025.
