The City of London Corporation is seeking an experienced and forward-thinking Assistant Director – Transactions & Analytics and City Bridge Foundation, Investment Property Group (IPG) to join our Investment Property Group (IPG) within the City Surveyor’s Department.
This is a senior leadership role. You will lead a team of skilled professionals, ensuring the delivery of best-in-class performance analysis, forecasting, and evolving investment strategies for the City’s Estate, City Fund and City Bridge Foundation portfolios. You will also be responsible for managing capital transactions and asset management of the City Bridge Foundation’s investment portfolio.
As Assistant Director, you will:
- Lead the evolution of investment strategy
- Lead and manage a high-performing team across transactions, analysis and asset management.
- Oversee acquisitions, disposals, and capital realisations in line with investment strategies.
- Provide financial analysis, performance monitoring and reporting to senior stakeholders and committees.
- Ensure City Climate Action Standards and ESG commitments are embedded into investment activity.
- Negotiate commercial transactions and joint ventures, working with legal, financial and property specialists.
- Act as deputy to the Director of IPG when required, representing the department at senior forums.
About You
We are looking for a strategic leader with:
- Extensive experience in Central London commercial property investment, fund and asset management.
- Strong track record in leading multidisciplinary teams and managing external consultants.
- Excellent financial analysis, valuation and forecasting skills.
- Ability to present complex reports and recommendations to senior, non-specialist stakeholders.
- An understanding of ESG, climate neutrality and market trends affecting property investment.
