About us
The City Surveyor’s Department is responsible for the management of the City of London Corporation’s property investment portfolio, corporate real estate, property/construction projects - and the operational management and day-to-day outsourced facilities management services - of both portfolios. The City Surveyor is the organisations’ Head of Profession for Estates and Facilities Management.
Within City Surveyor’s the Regeneration & Development Group is responsible for the disposal of strategic sites from across the Corporation’s portfolios, the transition of two historic market sites, and the preservation of the heritage estate portfolio comprising of over 800 assets through strategic conservation management.
Regeneration and Development Strategic Programme Leadership
The City of London Corporation is seeking a collaborative programme leader to implement and manage formal programme methodologies within the Regeneration and Development team, delivering a multitude of workstreams.
This is a core role responsible for ensuring all activities are well planned and executed on time and to budget across all workstreams. This includes all internal governance, HR, procurement, legal, risks and issues, benefits realisation, day-to-day budget monitoring and reporting, and BAU invoicing. In addition to supporting the Assistant Directors in the disposal of high-profile sites within the City’s Estate and City Fund that are complex and/or have a value of over £100m.
What You'll Do
- Lead the programme management of the Regeneration & Development portfolio, ensuring, all workstreams are effectively managed and highly co-ordinated.
- Manage and monitor the financial resources of the programme, maintaining oversight of the workstream leads - Develop and deliver consistent high-quality programme management tools and resources for the programme.
- Lead the delivery of effective corporate and programme governance, utilising best practice in project, programme and portfolio management.
- Lead the delivery of appropriate and timely strategic advice and guidance – utilising a high degree of political awareness and sensitivity – negotiating successful outcomes for the Programmes and wider organisation with senior stakeholders.
What We're Looking For
- Accreditation with a relevant Chartered or Professional Programme body with at least 5 years of experience working in strategic project and programme management roles.
- Experience of developing and implementing new project and programme management systems, processes, governance and programme tools in accordance with industry best practice.
- Continuous and ongoing CPD with accreditation in programme management tools and methodologies.
- Demonstrable ability to foster good relations with a variety of stakeholders including business, third sector, national and local government to support the City Corporation’s strategic priorities.
- Proven ability to lead in relation to Programme Management, strategic initiatives and stakeholder relation.
