At the City of London Corporation, our work underpins services, investments and priorities that benefit the Square Mile, London and beyond. To help deliver this, we are seeking an outstanding Executive Assistant to support our Financial Services Director.

This is a varied and rewarding role at the heart of the Chamberlain's Department. Acting as a trusted partner to the Financial Services Director, you will provide high-quality executive support, manage a complex and demanding diary, coordinate high-profile meetings and ensure the smooth operation of day-to-day business. You will engage with a wide range of stakeholders including elected Members, Chief Officers, senior colleagues and external partners.

Alongside traditional executive support responsibilities, you will play an active role in supporting departmental projects, leadership meetings, colleague engagement activities and internal communications. You will help prepare briefings, reports and presentations, organise key events, maintain effective information management systems and contribute to the delivery of priorities across the Financial Services Directorate. The role offers a unique opportunity to gain exposure to strategic decision-making and the work of one of the Corporation's largest and most influential departments.

You will be part of a fast-paced, close-knit and supportive Business Support Team, working collaboratively to deliver high-quality support that enables effective leadership, governance and service delivery across the Financial Services Directorate. It's a team where colleagues genuinely support one another, celebrate successes and work together to solve challenges.

We are looking for a highly organised and proactive individual with experience supporting senior leaders in a fast-paced environment. You will be an excellent communicator, capable of handling sensitive and confidential information with discretion and professionalism. Strong organisational skills, sound judgement and the ability to manage competing priorities are essential, as is the confidence to work independently while building effective relationships across a complex organisation.

We believe great work deserves great rewards. We offer a wide range of benefits including competitive leave allowances, excellent pension arrangements, learning and development opportunities, wellbeing support and flexible working options. It's all part of our commitment to helping you thrive at work and beyond.

The City of London Corporation is currently undertaking a programme to ensure our pay and reward practices remain competitive and equitable across the organisation, ensuring everyone has the opportunity to thrive in the work we do.

If this role is advertised as a secondment, secondments are subject to the agreement of your department releasing you, therefore, you need to discuss this with your line manager prior to applying. The purpose of this will be to discuss what, if any, impact your secondment might have on the service and service delivery should your application be successful, and how this might be addressed.
