Salary: £47,620 - £53,310 per annum inclusive of all allowances 
Contractual Hours: 35 hours per week

About the Role  

 

This is an exciting opportunity to join the City of London Corporation’s evolving Equity, Equality, Diversity & Inclusion (EEDI) function - part of the Corporate Strategy and Performance department.  

As the organisation strengthens its strategic approach to EEDI, the successful candidate will play a key role in designing and embedding inclusive practices across City Corporation.  

 

Duties & responsibilities  

 

  • monitor and review the existing 8 staff diversity networks to enable continuous improvement;   
      

  • manage existing partnerships and where required commissioning and maintaining new partnerships;  

 

  • develop, review and maintain foundational EEDI products and resources;  

 

  • design and implement communication and engagement tactics to promote EEDI initiatives across the organisation;  

 

  • support the completion of multiple and wide-ranging benchmarking submissions;  

 

  • co-ordinate Freedom of Information (FOI) requests related to EEDI;   
      

  • keep up to date with the development of relevant policies, legislation, guidance, opportunities and risks;  

  • represent EEDI at corporate meetings.  
      

What We’re Looking For  

 

This role requires someone who combines technical EEDI expertise with strong communication skills and a practical understanding of working within a complex, multi-functional organisation.  

Here are the kind of skills we are looking for:  

 

  • high quality technical knowledge of equity, equality, diversity and inclusion;  

  • excellent written and verbal communication skills and ability to build options based on evidence;  

  • ability to become familiar with key issues quickly and confidently to propose solutions best suited to organisational needs;  

  • knowledge of mainstream IT applications including Word, Excel and PowerPoint.

This role is primarily based at Guildhall in central London, with an expectation to be on site three days a week and flexibility to work remotely for up to two days a week.
