Working within a small and committed team, you will play a central role in managing the Electoral Register, City of London Ward Lists, the City Occupiers Database (COD), and the Common Hall Register of Liverymen. • Process registration forms, postal vote applications, and respond to elector queries
  • Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with relevant electoral legislation
  • Support the planning and delivery of elections and related civic events
  • Carry out data entry, correspondence, and administrative duties in support of the team
  • Liaise with members of the public, businesses, elected Members, and internal departments
  • Help supervise and monitor casual canvass staff as required
  • Contribute to service improvement, system updates, and engagement strategies

About You

We’re looking for someone who has:

  • Strong administrative or clerical experience, ideally within a local authority or large organisation

  • Excellent attention to detail and the ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines
  • Good communication skills, both written and verbal
  • A positive attitude towards customer service and working in a public-facing environment
  • An interest in electoral processes and willingness to undertake relevant training (e.g. AEA Certificate)
  • Knowledge of electoral registration legislation or previous experience in election administration would be an advantage but is not essential.

What We Offer

  • Competitive salary and generous Local Government Pension Scheme
  • 24 days annual leave plus public holidays (with increases based on length of service)
  • Flexible hybrid working arrangements
  • Paid volunteering leave and access to employee benefits
  • Professional development support including qualifications and training
