Join Our Casual Pool 

  

The prestigious Barbican Residential Estate, located in the City of London, is looking for enthusiastic and committed individuals to join our casual pool. Our teams play a vital role in delivering a high-quality service to residents, visitors, and members of the public. 

 

We are recruiting for the following roles: 

 
 

Estate Concierge

 

As an Estate Concierge, you will be based at a car park entrance to one of the residential tower blocks.  

 

Your responsibilities will include: 

  • Assisting residents, visitors, and contractors 

  • Responding to day-to-day queries 

  • Operating CCTV equipment 

 

You will need a courteous and tactful manner and experience of working in an excellent customer service environment, such as a hotel or high-class residential location. 

 

Key requirements: 

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills to report incidents to the Car Park & Operations Manager 

  • Ability to work on your own initiative 

  • Calm and professional approach when dealing with emergencies or unexpected events 

  • Competence in computer use, security awareness, and customer service 

 

 

Estate Cleaner 

 

As an Estate Cleaner, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of all areas of the Barbican Estate.  

 

This includes: 

  • Block and tower cleaning 

  • Car park cleaning 

  • Carrying out any other cleaning duties as required 

 

You will need to demonstrate a courteous and tactful manner, with experience of working in an excellent customer service environment, such as a hotel or high-class residential setting. The role involves regular contact with residents, their visitors, and members of the public. 

 

Key requirements: 

  • Good communication skills to liaise with the Cleaning Manager, Operations Manager, residents, and members of the public 

  • Ability to report incidents, repairs, or issues encountered during duties 

  • Strong cleaning skills with a clear focus on customer service 

 

The successful applicant will be required to wear the uniform provided. 

 

This post is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act and as part of the selection process the successful applicant will be required to obtain an Enhanced with adult barred list Disclosure & Barring Service check for the Estate Concierge role and a Basic Disclosure & Barring Service check for the Estate Cleaner role.
