Protect One of London's Most Recognisable Landmarks 

Tower Bridge is one of the world's most famous visitor attractions, welcoming hundreds of thousands of visitors every year. We are seeking professional, motivated and customer-focused Security Officers to join our dedicated security team and help protect this iconic landmark, its visitors, staff, and infrastructure.  

This is a varied and rewarding role that combines security operations, public safety, customer service, and emergency response. No two days are the same. 

About the Role 

As a Security Officer, you will provide a professional, proactive, and responsive security service across Tower Bridge, the Engine Rooms, and associated premises. You will help maintain a safe and secure environment whilst delivering exceptional customer service to visitors, contractors, and stakeholders.  

Key Responsibilities 

• Maintaining a visible security presence across the site. 

• Monitoring CCTV and security systems from the Security Control Room. 

• Conducting internal and external security patrols. 

• Responding to incidents, emergencies, and reports of suspicious activity. 

• Supporting evacuation, invacuation, and emergency procedures. 

• Managing contractor access, deliveries and permits to work. 

• Liaising with the Police, emergency services and partner agencies when required. 

• Supporting Bridge Lift operations and participating in the out-of-hours call-out rota. 

• Producing accurate incident reports and maintaining security records. 

• Assisting visitors and delivering excellent customer service at all times. 

What We're Looking For 

Essential Skills and Experience 

You will ideally have: 

• Security experience within a visitor attraction, museum, exhibition venue, or similar customer-facing environment. 

• Experience of CCTV monitoring and security systems. 

• Excellent communication and customer service skills. 

• Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office and Outlook. 

• Experience following procedures and producing written reports. 

• Knowledge of Health and Safety principles. 

• The ability to remain calm, professional and decisive during incidents and emergencies. 

Desirable 

• Current SIA Door Supervisor and CCTV Licence. 

• First Aid at Work qualification (or willingness to undertake training). 

• Experience with access control systems, fire alarms, and emergency procedures. 

• Experience conducting risk assessments.

Working Pattern 

This role operates on a rotating shift pattern of: 

7am to 7pm / 7pm to 7am 

including weekends and bank holidays as part of the roster.
