Principal Surveyor
We are looking for a Principal Surveyor to support the Corporate Property Group Asset Management team, focusing on the operational property portfolio. The position offers an exciting opportunity to work on a unique portfolio of assets, contributing directly to the objectives and performance of the Corporate Property Group.
The role encompasses all aspects of strategic asset management, including developing the efficiency of our assets, exploring options and opportunities to create value, and maintaining optimum effectiveness of operational property. The position involves working closely with our diverse range of internal clients to strategically plan and manage the portfolio. The position provides functional support to Senior Principal Surveyors withing the team significantly in terms of managing transactions and occupational requirements on the allocated portfolio(s). Responsibilities include undertaking the day-to-day property management seeking to maximise income through rent reviews, lease renewals, assignments etc. The role also includes evaluation of underutilised assets, Valuation for internal purposes, service charge management and disposal of surplus assets.
Collectively, the City Surveyors Department is responsible for managing the City of London's diverse portfolio of operational, community and tenanted properties including offices, retail, libraries, open space, wholesale markets, public schools, law courts, Mansion House, Guildhall, and the City of London Police estate. The role will involve reviewing and implementing the overarching Corporate Property Asset Management Strategy and developing and delivering Asset Management Plans across the portfolio.
