About the Role
Are you creative, tech‑savvy, and passionate about media and communications? This apprenticeship is an exciting opportunity to develop real‑world experience in advertising, digital content creation, and employer branding within the City of London Corporation.
As part of our Recruitment & Resourcing team, you will help create compelling job adverts, social media campaigns, and digital assets that attract talent across the organisation. You’ll use tools such as Canva and LinkedIn to design engaging visuals and promotional materials, supporting our mission to modernise recruitment and improve candidate engagement.
This role is perfect for someone who enjoys creativity, design, and communication — and wants to build professional skills while working across a large, diverse organisation. While also being responsible for day-to-day recruitment administration.
You’ll work closely with the City’s Strategic Campaigns & Resourcing Projects Lead and the wider resourcing team, where you can ask questions, try new ways of doing things, and be trusted to grow. You’ll gain exposure to the full recruitment lifecycle as well as specialist recruitment campaigns, supporting recruitment campaigns across a wide range of roles.
What you’ll gain
- Hands‑on experience in a busy but supportive HR environment with exposure to recruitment and specialist recruitment campaigns.
- Recruitment campaign experience
- Design and digital asset experience specifically for successful recruitment campaigns across a diverse range of roles.
- Insight into how HR operates in a world‑class public organisation
What we’re looking for
You’ll be organised and proactive, enjoying structure but also confident suggesting better ways of working. You’ll be a clear communicator, comfortable writing emails and speaking with managers and candidates. You’ll be curious about HR and media and digital assets. You will be able to use Excel to tidy and organise information. You’ll bring an ideas‑driven, constructive approach and customer‑focused asking thoughtful questions and helping improve how we work. Above all, you’ll be team‑minded, enjoying collaboration, supporting colleagues, and learning from others.
Must‑haves
- Basic IT skills — especially Excel (we’ll help you develop from there).
- Interest in communications and advertising
- Enthusiasm and commitment to achieving your Level 3 qualification
This apprenticeship role is based at Guildhall and will last for 18 months (including time to complete your End Point Assessment).
If you are enthusiastic and committed to achieving your Level 3 Business Administration qualification and are eligible to apply, we would love to hear from you.

• 16 or over by the end of the summer holidays
• Living in England
• Not in full-time education at the time of applying
