Digital Content Officer – Mansion House
As our Digital Content Officer, you will be at the heart of shaping and elevating the digital presence of the Lady Mayor and Mansion House. You’ll lead on the development, production and optimisation of high-quality content—particularly video—that engages diverse audiences across multiple platforms.
You will:

Plan, film, edit and publish both short and long-form video content for digital and social channels.

Deliver engaging, cross-platform content aligned with strategic priorities and corporate messaging.

Work closely with the Corporate Communications Team and wider stakeholders to tell powerful stories through multimedia.

Use data, analytics and insights to evaluate performance and continually enhance content impact.

Advise senior colleagues on digital storytelling opportunities that support the City of London Corporation’s Corporate Plan.

Monitor trends, best practice and emerging issues in digital communications to keep our channels current and engaging.

Occasionally support reactive and out-of-hours content needs linked to major events or announcements.
About You
You will be a creative and confident digital communicator with strong technical skills and a collaborative mindset.
We’re looking for someone who has:
Essential Experience & Skills

Proven experience creating digital, social and video content, including hands-on filming and editing.

Strong written, visual and video communication skills, with an ability to produce accessible, audience-focused content.

Proficiency with tools such as Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, Figma and CMS platforms.
-
Experience producing short-form social content optimised for platform-specific formats and behaviours.
-
A solid understanding of SEO, video optimisation and the use of analytics to improve performance.

The ability to work effectively under pressure, managing multiple priorities in a fast-moving and high-profile environment.
-
Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to build strong working relationships with colleagues, partners and stakeholders.
Desirable
-
Experience in public sector, campaign-led, financial or professional services communications.

Experience supporting senior leaders or public figures.
-
Experience creating/commissioning multimedia content including animation.

Knowledge of accessibility standards for digital and video content.
