The Governance and Member Services Team is recruiting a Business Administration Apprentice to join the Governance and Member Services Team. This Team provides comprehensive support to fellow officers and elected officials on the administration of the City Corporation’s vast array decision-making functions. These functions include (but are not limited to): policing, education, HR, natural environment, city planning, Financial and Professional Services (FPS) and much, much more.

 

The successful postholder will have the opportunity to work at the centre of this unique organisation as a key part of a team delivering efficient support to committees, administrative assistance for the organisation and its elected Members delivered using a range of IT systems.

 

We are looking for an enthusiastic team player looking to develop their excellent administrative skills, who is highly organised and is seeking experience working within a busy but rewarding environment. Candidates should have sound time management and planning skills, and be able to multi task while providing administrative support to all stakeholders.

 

This apprenticeship role is based at Guildhall and will last for 18 months (including time to complete your End Point Assessment).

To qualify for this apprenticeship, you will need to be:

 

•             16 or over by the end of the summer holidays

•             Living in England

•             Not in full-time education at the time of applying

            

If you are a non-UK citizen – you need to have permission from the UK government to live in the UK (not for educational purposes) and have been ordinarily resident in the UK for at least the previous three years before the start of the apprenticeship.

 

Selected apprenticeships require evidence of English and Maths GCSE Grade C/4 or equivalent.
